Valentine's Day, also known as the day of lovers, has its roots in ancient Rome. Originally, this day was dedicated to Saint Valentine, a martyr who symbolized love. Over time, Valentine's Day evolved into a festival where lovers express their affection through gifts and cards. In the Middle Ages, the custom of sending handwritten love letters became popular. With time, this custom spread worldwide and became an integral part of many cultures.
