What is ÖSD anyway? Austrian Language Diploma is an examination system for German as a foreign or as a second language. Above all, it is advantageous that the exam has its focus on communication, so the ability to communicate in real everyday situations is examined. The ÖSD exam consists of 2 parts – written (first exam day) and oral (second exam day), and is offered in 6 language levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).
The ÖSD exam is recognized at various universities and educational institutions in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, but to be completely sure, you have to inquire in advance whether or not the desired institution accepts the ÖSD language test.
It should be emphasized that one can prepare independently for the ÖSD language test. You just have to look at the exam modalities and become familiar with the material. In order to prepare for the ÖSD exam, it is advisable to look at the respective model examinations (for example, model examinations German A1, model examinations German A2, model examinations German B1 and others). These are often model tested under the name ösd a1, ösd a2 model test, ösd b1 model test, ösd b2 model test, ösd c1 model test to find.

In 2017, a new integration law was passed. As a result, a new integration test for third-country nationals has been introduced, which aims to examine not only linguistic competences but also the knowledge of values and orientation. It has to be said, that there have already been other tests (ÖIF A1, ÖIF A2 test, German test for Austria A2 / B1 and B2 ÖIF test).
The central guidelines and principles of life in Austria are included, to check how well one is familiar with the culture and values of the country. This is the main difference of the ÖIF integration exam from other exams, where mainly only language skills are tested. Generally, you need the ÖIF-tests for citizenship and permanent residence.
The ÖIF Integration Examination B1 consists of 4 parts:
